Go into the Global Setup / Business Setup page and you will see the propagate changes to all events options. This means that any change you make to a setting will automatically be applied to all events of the same type. Note that it will not change all settings automatically, but only when you make a change to a setting. To have changes apply only to a single event, make sure this is set to "propagate to only current event".

This Propagate Settings feature is a powerful administrative tool that functions as a "global sync" for your event configurations. It is designed to save time by eliminating the need to manually update identical settings across multiple events.

Here is a breakdown of how to manage these updates effectively:

Where to Configure

Navigate to the Global Setup / Business Setup page. This is where you control the default behavior for how setting changes flow through your system.

How Propagation Works

The system acts on a "trigger" basis rather than a constant sync.

  • Dynamic Updating: Changes are only pushed to other events at the moment you modify a setting. The changes only apply to the following pages: Settings / UI Setup page, Settings / Vendor View Setup page,  the Settings / Notifications Setup page, and the Settings / CUI Messages pages.
  • Targeted Scope: It typically applies only to events of the same type or the same category, ensuring you don't accidentally overwrite settings on unrelated categories (e.g., applying a "Flu Clinic" setting to a "Physical Therapy" event).
  • The Safety Toggle: If you need to customize a single event without affecting your entire template, you must switch the setting to "Propagate to only current event."

Best Practices for Admins

If you want to...

Set Propagation to...

Update your entire season (e.g., changing the cancellation policy for all winter clinics).

"Propagate changes to all events"

Make a one-time exception (e.g., changing the start time for just one specific holiday workshop).

"Propagate to only current event"

Test a new setting before rolling it out to all locations.

"Propagate to only current event"

⚠️ Important Note: Always double-check this toggle before leaving the page. If you leave global propagation on by mistake, a minor change intended for one date could unintentionally rewrite the settings for dozens of others.
